Thinking about visiting the church of Christ on Miranda Street in Las Cruces? We're glad you're considering it. This page will tell you exactly what to expect — where we meet, when we meet, what our services look like, and how to find us — so the only thing you have to worry about is showing up.
Walking into a new church for the first time can feel intimidating. Here’s the honest, no-surprises version of what a visit with us looks like:
No pressure, no spotlight. You won’t be asked to stand up, introduce yourself, or give anything. Come as you are and sit wherever you’d like.
Simple, biblical worship. Our services include singing (without instruments — see Ephesians 5:19), prayer, Bible teaching, and the Lord’s Supper each Sunday, just as the early church practiced it (Acts 20:7).
Casual to dressy — both are welcome. Some members dress up, others come in jeans. Wear what makes you comfortable.
Bible in hand or on your phone. Bring a Bible if you have one, or follow along on your phone. We’re also happy to loan you one.
Friendly, not overwhelming. Someone will likely say hello, but you won’t be swarmed. Stay and talk afterward, or slip out quietly — either is fine.
Kids are always welcome. Families worship together, and there’s no need to worry about a little noise.

No. There’s no dress code. Come as you are — you’ll see everything from suits to casual wear.
What should I expect from a church of Christ worship service?
A cappella singing, prayer, Bible-centered preaching, and the Lord’s Supper (communion) every Sunday. There are no instruments, choirs, or performances — just Scripture and simple worship (see our Who Are We page for more on what we believe and why).
Is the Miranda Street church of Christ affiliated with a denomination?
No. We’re an autonomous, independent congregation. We don’t answer to a national headquarters or denominational hierarchy — each congregation follows the New Testament pattern on its own.

Absolutely. Kids worship alongside their families, and there are classes available for different age groups.
How long does a typical service last?
Sunday morning worship generally runs about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.
